​DANCE PLACEMENT AUDITIONS
2025/2026
**Auditions are for Class Placement AND Competition Teams**

 AUDITION CHOREOGRAPHY FOLDER

You are responsible for learning ALL of the choreography in this folder BEFORE you arrive to the first Mandatory Dance Workshop.  At the workshops we will be reviewing and refining the choreography, not teaching it from scratch.  

What you need to learn: 
*Across the Floor Combos (3)
*Contemporary Choreography
*Hip Hop Choreography
*Jazz Choreography
*Pom Choreography (IF trying out for Pom!)

LOTTERY ANNOUNCEMENT
If you are on the waitlist for the Lottery, PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION in order to be considered for Intermediate or Advanced for the 2025/2026 School Year.  You will NOT be able to audition at a later date if/when you become accepted for enrollment at Helix.

2025/2026 DANCE REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

This rehearsal will take effect in August.  The programs labeled ASPIRE are for ALL Helix Students.  This is part of the ASPIRE After School Programs.  Students may opt IN to these classes throughout the year.  Attendance is taken for grant purposes, but none of the classes are "mandatory"

 Competition rehearsals will begin after the ASPIRE classes finish.  For team members, these rehearsals will be MANDATORY as students are committing to this activity and they will be a part of a team.  Students will sign a commitment contract for each team that they have successfully auditioned for and choose to join.
